With this painting I wanted the emotional turmoil of what was going on politically in this country to be reflected. Radicalization was a term used to vilify Muslim culture after 9/11 but in this day and age, living in this right wing America, who is truly RADICALIZED? This painting was part of a series of paintings created for my first solo show in Oakland, California “¡Somos Americanos? in 2017.
