This painting is based on my interpretation of the glittery gold mask worn by famed Mexican wrestler “El Tinieblas”. I rarely use glitter in my work but this piece called for it. The glitter and gold of the mask make the black center feel even more dark or tinieblas in Spanish. From the darkness one of my “graffiti spirits” characters is crawling out of the mask. This mask is painted on wood and was shown at “LA BULLA” exhibition at Plaza de la Raza in Los Angeles 2019.
