“King Rocky” spent all morning grooming his beautiful long black mane, and it was worth it! Now he wants a carrot. A special thank you to Helen Jane Peppe in the Free Reference Photos for Artists Facebook page for the beautiful photo of King Rocky, the Gypsy Drum Stallion (with permission). I absolutely loved painting him!

Medium: Painted on Arches 300# watercolor paper with Brusho® Crystal Colours in beautiful shades of gamboge and black with a pop of pink. It is mounted on a cradled wood panel, finished with cold wax, and the sides are painted black. Ready for hanging, no frame or glass necessary.
