Statement
As a Western artist, I seek to capture the energy, movement, and spirit of the West through bold, expressive color. Living in Montana has deeply influenced my work, inspiring subjects such as horses, wildlife, and Western figures that embody both freedom and resilience. I work with watercolor in non-traditional ways, incorporating materials like Brusho® crystal pigments to create unexpected textures and vibrant color variations. My process is intuitive and dynamic—I often use splashing, splattering, and dripping techniques to bring a sense of motion and spontaneity to each piece. Color is at the heart of everything I create. It allows me to move beyond realism and into emotion, capturing not just what I see, but what I feel. Each painting is an exploration, and I’m always excited to discover where the process will lead next!
