This painting was long in coming, there were 4 study paintings working out some of the details, yet when it came to the "big" one, I still needed to change some things, In the original scene there is a second silo, but it didn't seem to work or "read" right in this painting. This the neighboring property's barn, I hope it lasts forever , but many of my barns I have painted have succumbed to age or man needing to clear the barn. The light was beautiful the day I captured this in a photo. Three of my other paintings were done on site, or en plein air. One done in the winter. Hope you enjoy!
