This textile celebrates the volunteers and staff of Mission Blue Nursery who propagate and care for plants native to San Bruno Mountain. These plants are used for restoration purposes on the Mountain and elsewhere, and made available at public sales. Shown here are some of the creatures who benefit from maintaining the natural environment: Bay Checkerspot, San Bruno Elfin, and Mission Blue butterflies; Pacific Chorus Frog; Red-Tailed Hawk; Anna's Hummingbird; rabbit. Mission Blue Nursery is operated by San Bruno Mountain Watch, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2020.
