Ever since I was a little girl and men landed on the moon, I've been enamored with photos from space. I made "Galaxy" as an improvisational piece from leftover scrap strips several years ago. Once it was pieced together I thought that it looked like photos of our galaxy and I embellished it more with a silver hand-quilted rotating universe. Newley released photos from the NASA James Webb Space Telescope look even more like my own Galaxy!
