The Augusta, Missouri Plein Air event is coming up on their 17th year, and it is where I "got my feet wet" in the plein air world. The first time I went, I was so intimidated, I cried every day for three days and then went home without showing any of my work. This piece is from one of my first events there. You can hardly turn a corner and not find some beautiful views to paint, so this is a wonderful event. Plein air is not for sissies. It is very hard work. If you compare this piece to some of my more recent pieces, I hope you can see that my hard work is paying off.
