Lori Strom
Red Deer, Alberta
Paintings in Acrylic, either on Canvas or Birch Panels, and always in a very realistic style. Commission requests are aways considered.
MessageLori Strom was born Lori-Anne Lipsack in the Canadian city of Nelson, B.C. in 1961. She purchased a small Custom Framing/Art business in Lethbridge (operating as L.A.Gallery from December 1993–May of 2016, now operating as L.A.Gallery 2.0) and found that selling and framing the works of other Artists kept her creativity alive. An Artist since a very early age, Lori took a break from painting due to the demands of owning a business. Lori now predominantly works in Acrylics but was originally trained in oils. She has worked in watercolor, pencil crayon, charcoal and pastels. Lori has explored many styles, including pointillism, but always seems to find her way back to realism. Her dream had always been to visit Monet’s Garden in Giverny France and explore the place where the World’s most famous Impressionist found his inspiration. In June 2019 that trip became a reality, and it didn’t disappoint. She currently resides in Red Deer, AB with her Boyfriend Fred. Recently retired, she hopes to paint even more prolifically.
Statement
"An art lover since an early age, I am now just realizing my dream of being an actual "Artist". The works of talented painters I have around me is a large part of my inspiration. I will keep learning and trying new things while staying true to my own style.
