This is a painting of Stagecoach Park in Buda, Texas. I started it as a plain air piece and finished it in the studio. One thing I learned when I was painting was how the park got its name--the stagecoach from Austin to San Antonio used to stop in Buda. So there are two interesting historic buildings in the park, a Stagecoach House and a Post Office dating back to the 1800s.
This painting features a serene outdoor landscape with large, leafy trees. In the foreground is a tall tree with a sturdy trunk. To the right, two smaller trees display vibrant pink blossoms. The background includes a wooden fence and shrubs. The scene captures a sunny day with a clear sky.
