From the exhibit "The Story of Littleton in 125 Objects": Painted by Meredith Willson, this shovel is one of nine painted by local artists for the Riverfront Festival Center ground-breaking ceremony on September 24, 1984. The shovels were commissioned by The Writer Corporation.
