MessageLisa Wommack is a Texas-based abstract artist whose work explores the tension between structure and spontaneity. After a successful career in IT consulting, she returned to painting with renewed focus, embracing acrylics as her primary medium. Working from her home studio, Lisa builds layered compositions through intuitive mark-making, bold color relationships, and textural depth. Her process balances intention with experimentation, allowing each piece to evolve organically.
Rooted in personal exploration yet refined through active participation in exhibitions and art communities, her work reflects a commitment to growth and dialogue. What began as a quiet return to creativity has become a dynamic, daily practice. Through her paintings, Lisa invites viewers to experience movement, emotion, and discovery within abstraction.

Statement
My paintings explore the moments of joy, wonder, and connection that remind us what it means to be fully alive. My work is inspired by the moments that make us pause—the glow of a sunrise or sunset, the unfiltered joy of a child’s laughter, the steady rhythm of ocean waves, or the quiet comfort of feeling truly seen. I paint to hold onto these fleeting experiences and translate them into color, movement, and texture so they can be felt again and again.
Influenced by artists such as Monet, Klimt, Degas, and Millais, my work bridges classical inspiration with a contemporary, expressive approach. Bold color and layered texture are central to my process, allowing emotion and energy to build organically across the canvas.
Through abstraction, I explore themes of nature, connection, and the unseen emotional currents that shape our lives. Each painting invites the viewer to find their own story within it, creating a personal dialogue between the artwork and the space it inhabits.
I believe art has the power to transform a room and deepen the way we experience everyday life. My hope is that my paintings become lasting sources of joy, wonder, and reflection for those who live with them.
