The spiral held by the figure is a 3 dimensional piece on round wood panel that can spin in place when movement is started by hand. Part of "Dressing Room- Interactive Paper Doll" series. Dimensions are variable when interactive panels are added or removed. A separate dress shaped panel comes with this rearrangeable Triptych.

"Shimmer", part of the "Dressing Room" series is an interactive triptych. Making up the triptych are custom made wood panels that can be taken on or off of the main figure. These wood panels include a dazzling array of stars that can be placed over the upper torso. The second panel is a dreamy long dress which when placed on the figure extends a few inches below the base of the main panel. In addition the figure holds a permanently attached spinning spiral which can spin when spun as seen in the video link.
