Part of a three part series about Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President of Liberia. When she was elected as the first woman president of an African nation in 2005, she was dealing with a corrupt government, severe debt, and an unruly population. Her strong feminine ways and experience in government allowed her to bring control to the country, bring strict financial discipline, and clean up corruption.
This painting shows the purple (feminine) embrace of the the President. Patterns from African Konti cloth and a rather chaotic background indicating the amount of unruliness in the country.
