People travel for countless reasons—whether it's to seek out new experiences, unwind in a peaceful setting, embark on an adventure, or immerse themselves in a different culture. The way each person remembers these journeys is as unique as the journey itself.
During my travels, I've taken countless photographs with the intent of transforming those moments into paintings upon returning home. However, the photos I capture aren't always what one might expect from these iconic locations. My goal is not just to document a place, but to convey the deep emotional connection I felt in that exact moment.
One such moment occurred high above the sea on the Amalfi Coast, in the beautiful gardens of Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, Italy. The views from this lofty perch are nothing short of breathtaking, with the horizon blending seamlessly between the azure sea and sky. Amidst this grand panorama, I was drawn to a simple potted plant resting quietly at the edge of a walkway. There was something profoundly peaceful about its delicate vines and subtle blossoms, untouched by even the slightest breeze. In that serene stillness, I found a deep sense of tranquility—a feeling I hope to convey in my work.
