Lisa Bramhill is a painter based in Grant, Alabama, where she operates her own
backyard studio. Currently, she is enrolled in the Painting Studies certificate program at
the Rhode Island School of Design as part of her continuing education. Lisa has
participated in several national and international art shows and is featured in the 2024
edition of the 101 Artbook Animal Edition. As an emerging artist, she continues to
explore various mediums and ideas.
Statement
I am a self-taught artist currently thriving in Northern Alabama with my supportive husband and my best studio partner, Sadie, my beloved golden doodle. Embracing my childhood passion to create art in 2021 after becoming an empty nester has been an empowering experience. I draw inspiration from nature, people, and the world around me. As a wanderer and daydreamer, I constantly seek ways to express my emotions through painting, making connections, and reveling in the joy of creating. During my teenage years, art served as an escape from the challenges of frequently moving and feeling like an outsider in a dysfunctional family. Now, my art allows me to connect, heal, and find a profound sense of belonging.
