Just starting.... I began this carved tree many years ago. I wasn't sure how I would use the piece, but now I envision a piece with encaustic inlay. Stay tuned for updates!

The initial ThreePond Art collection - conceptual landscapes - is focused on encaustic artworks, and explores personal connections with place.

Encaustic is an ancient process dating back to the Greeks and the Roman-Egyptian empires. It uses heated beeswax, resin, and pigment, and then each layer and color is fused with heat. It has a mind of its own, which I love, and allows me to create layers and texture to express my artistic ideas.
