I painted this view outside my studio window one afternoon while cold wind threatened imminent rain. A PBS film crew was coming to my studio that day to catch me at my easel for the 2016 documentary WESTERN PERSPECTIVES. We'd all planned to be on location that afternoon for the filming, but nobody was willing to brave the west Texas weather, so looking out my window was the order of the day, and there was plenty going on out there! So, this one is a plein air from under shelter!
