Late afternoon sun outlined billowing clouds and an old oak tree rising above a Davis Mountains pasture. Painting on location, I had to rapidly lay in a skelton of lights and darks as the rapidly building clouds captured chaotic sunbeams, and the tree, with its many greens, danced in the light wind.
