Sunlight seeping through these trees created a feeling of enchantment, a childlike sense of excitement at crawling into the dark space beneath the eroded roots and feeling the comfort of this sheltering forest.

I did this small varnished watercolor in series with my larger pastel, Connectedness. Same deep forest, different feelings entirely!
