Lindsey Veil is a primarily self-taught artist based in Dunwoody, Georgia, known for sophisticated, nature-inspired acrylic paintings on wood. Her work blends organic beauty, raw emotion, and intellectual unrest—fueling curiosity that never fades.
After stepping away from college and career to raise her four children, Lindsey returned to the creative impulse deeply embedded within her. A true Georgia native and multidisciplinary artist, she integrates acrylic painting, graphic design, and conceptual artistry to create immersive experiences that provoke contemplation and emotional depth. Her style bridges nature, rebellion, and transformation.
Influenced by philosophical inquiry and the tension between organic and digital realms, Veil’s work invites viewers to reflect, question, and embrace change. With only two formal classes—a portrait workshop and a critique session—she approaches her practice through instinct and experimentation. She begins each piece using her own day-to-day photography, builds compositions digitally, and transfers them onto wood panels using expressive acrylic techniques. Her work often draws inspiration from walking trails, discarded textures, fleeting light, and overheard conversations. These elements converge into a visual language that balances beauty and chaos with subtle intensity.
Outside the studio, Lindsey has contributed to community mural projects and donated artwork to charities and fundraisers. Her mission centers on sparking dialogue between public spaces and private emotions, transforming environments into contemplative experiences that inspire personal change. Her client work spans serene healthcare settings to bold commercial interiors, always grounded in thoughtful design.
Currently, she’s expanding her practice with looser, intuitive brushwork, using realism strategically and exploring abstract ideas through symbolic visual language. Her work is exhibited at Tuxedo Frame Gallery in Atlanta and Tradewind Coffee in Dacula, Georgia, as well as ongoing fine art festivals around Atlanta.

Statement
My work sits at the edge of contradiction—where organic textures collide with digital layers, and everyday chaos transforms into emotional clarity. I explore the push and pull between natural beauty and intellectual unrest, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and enter a space where rebellion meets refinement.
Drawing from photography, fleeting light, discarded textures, and overheard moments, each composition is layered with meaning. I translate my own day-to-day observations into immersive paintings that live somewhere between clarity and mystery. My pieces often blend intuitive brushwork with graphic precision, balancing loose emotional gestures with symbolic intention.
My compositions are curated from my personal photography of day-to-day moments. The sketching process happens digitally, and then execution of expressive acrylic paint on wood creates a bold design that invites the viewer to be curious about the intellectual dialogue happening on the canvas.
For me, art is a way to disrupt what’s expected and reclaim space for reflection. I want my work to make people pause and come alive with intellectual curiosity. I aim to respectfully disrupt expectations, heal through contradiction, and be honest about my own experiences.
