Small Works (see 2 pages)
I’ve always been intrigued by creating small paintings. There’s something special about the intimacy of a small piece—the way it draws you in for a closer look. Sized 12x12 inches and below, various media.
August Yellows
The color yellow is associated with the sun and can produce feelings such as optimism, joy, and enlightenment. I hope to bring you a dash of those feelings through this sunny collection of my paintings. Read about this collection in my August 2024 newsletter.
Crayon Series
Encaustic with Mixed Media (Crayon Wrappings). The crayon series sprung from an idea that came to me a couple of years ago as I sat peeling the paper wrappers off crayons for my students’ art lesson, and I was transported back to my childhood love of the vivid, joyful colors in a giant box of Crayola crayons I received around the age of six. Encaustic with Mixed Media (Found Objects) Series
After preparing a smooth surface, hammering nails into the wax and wood gave me a great sense of control and satisfaction! Read more about these and other mixed media paintings in my September 2023 newsletter.
Floating Series
Encaustic. One day these ethereal, bubble-like circles suddenly emerged while I was applying my heat torch to melt some of the many layers of wax. I simply welcomed them, and then had a wonderful time learning what I could create with them in terms of color, placement and size.
Monotype Prints
For me, the joy of creating a monotype lies in its spontaneity and freedom. It's a medium that encourages experimentation. Working on paper instead of canvas enables me to be more carefree. Read more in my May 2024 newsletter.
Sustainable
My series of encaustic abstract landscape paintings represents the subtle and harmonious colors of the native Greek landscape. Read more in my September 2024 newsletter.
Summer Collection in Watery Blues 🌊
This month, I’ve curated a collection of paintings that channel those cool, layered blues—the soothing shades and patterns you might see reflected in the water of a lake or the ocean. Most of these pieces are inspired by nature and shaped by memory and feeling. Read more about them in my July 2025 newsletter.
Winter Palette
February may seem long and gray, but the colors are there if you look for them. There is a subtle beauty in the frozen landscapes and moody skies of winter. Icy blues, cool grays, soft pinks, and infinite shades of white create a sense of tranquility that I hope is reflected here. Read more about this collection in my February 2025 newsletter.
