The Guilford Marina or Harbor is a favorite place of mine to just hang out and paint. My husband likes to fish along the rocks near the boat launch. The way the sunsets right over the tops of the buildings that line the harbor makes a natural frame and highlights the dramatic sunsets. I was inspired to create this piece because of the warm yellowish-orange lights from the overhead street lamp with the cool bluish-purple water. And of course the twinkling lights from the restaurant interiors along with warm highlights that bounced off of all the shiny surfaces.
