Antipasto appetizer Chef Dean made a few years ago - I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could paint this photo - Meats are always hard to paint - often times the come out grey and unattractive- I found the perspective very intriguing and wanted to heighten the dramatic view by enlarging the olives in the foreground and reducing the other elements in the background - hoping to give the feel that the olives are rolling off the page
