Painted during a CT Plein Air Painters Society paint out in September. The day was absolutely gorgeous. A little buggy but it was a lovely Sunday morning. Lots of visitors stopped by to check out the painting. A few took pictures or chatted for a few minutes. Once I put the final touches on the painting back in my studio, I stepped back from the easel, taking in the whole scene all of a sudden the driftwood appeared to resemble chopsticks! I can only image a huge giant standing on the end of the water with his driftwood chopsticks in hand leaning over water waiting for his next meal to swim by.
