Philadelphia was my home long enough to be born, and years later, attend Penn for an MFA. In between, I lived in England, Alabama, Virginia and France. After finishing Paris American high school, it was on to Skidmore for a BS in fine arts. It took a few years in business ā at Lord & Taylor and Management Recruiters ā before my return to the studio. Some twenty-five years later, Iām still happily pushing around paint.
Fortunately, I've studied with the best: Neil Welliver, Alex Katz, John Button, William Bailey, Janet Fish. But all I really strive to do now, is to connect with that happy freckle-faced finger-painting little girl, and forget about all the formal training. As I once told my good friend, "the MFA means Must Find Artist."
I hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I enjoyed making it.
