Linda Chido is an American born artist, currently based Austin, Texas, who has carved her artistic path through the realms of fantastic realism and visionary art. In the early 2000s, she had the privilege of studying with esteemed artists, Philip Rubinov Jacobson and Michael Fuchs. Their tutelage gave her tools and instruction in painting with the mische technique - and Old Master's technique brought back from obscurity by Ernst Fuchs.
While pursuing her artistic dreams, Linda faced profound challenges when her children were born with intense medical needs. This demanding period in her life led her to temporarily step away from her studio practice to focus on caring for her children. However, with unwavering faith and a renewed sense of purpose, Linda returned to her studio practice in 2020.
Linda is married to artist, Ron Gross, and together they have raised four artistic children. Their family of artists creates the foundation of LINDA CHIDO ART, which Linda founded in the Autumn of 2022. The business promotes and sells the artistry of the Chido Gross Family and is a learning hub for sharing their art knowledge.
A firm believer in the power of art to enrich and transform lives, Linda actively works to promote the value of art in her community. Her teaching and volunteer work, which includes providing art instruction to folks with developmental disabilities, demonstrates her deep commitment to sharing the transformative power of art with others.
