Leanne Marchand's studio/gallery is located at The Brown County Art Farm & Gallery, 1993 Greasy Creek Rd, Nashville, Indiana. Leanne works in a variety of mediums including, but not limited to, oil, acrylic, ink, watercolor, pastel, charcoal, and limestone. Figuratives, landscapes, still lifes, and portraiture comprise her diverse subject matter. Her style is representational, observational, and can range from realistic to impressionistic. She draws inspiration from the people and scenery of Brown County, Indiana, where she lives in a cabin in the woods with her husband and their dog.
Leanne is largely self-taught but has earned an Associate of Fine Arts degree after retiring from a thirty-year career with the U.S. Postal Service. She received the James G. Heinzen Scholarship for Fine Arts. Her work was featured in the U.S. Postal Service Art Calendar. Leanne’s art has won awards in White County, Indiana, including a First Place in the Monticello Old Settlers Art Show and a People’s Choice and Best of Show at the Brookston Library Art Exhibition. Leanne is a member of the Indiana Artists Club and the Artist Associates of Brown County Indiana.
Leanne is in her studio/gallery Mon-Wed-Fri from 10-5 and Tue-Thu-Sat from 1-5 and welcomes visitors during those times!
