Statement

I am a painter who currently makes smaller scale oil paintings. I use a limited palette which allows me to concentrate on mixing colors that harmonize in the final work. I look for my painting to convey a mood or feeling for the scene or objects that I am depicting through my use of color and tone. I enjoy painting plein air as well as spending time in the studio. My landscapes are based on local areas. I also love creating still life compositions which often depict flowers, books and food.
