Circles of Joy
I am fascinated by the purity of simple forms—above all, the circle, which I see as powerful, harmonious, and deeply emotional.
In the ‘Circles of Joy serie’, circles of different sizes intersect and merge, losing their individuality to create a harmonious whole—a symbol of unity and synergistic exchange.
Each work is illuminated by an element in gold: a solar color, a bearer of energy and light.
My art is abstract, modular, rhythmic, and always hand-painted—because even in the most rigorous geometry, I believe the physical gesture carries truth, warmth, and authenticity.
I create art that forges connections. It offers beauty and aesthetic balance, but also an invitation to discover personal meaning—to surrender to shapes and colors, allowing thoughts to flow freely.
Through the pursuit of balance between geometry and color, my paintings express emotions, values, and deep-rooted memories.
They go beyond the surface: they become spaces of freedom, open portals to a kind of thinking that transcends the visible.
Earth's Hearth
Earth’s Heart reflects Laura Rota’s vision of humanity as an integral part of nature, not separate from it, and her deep respect for all living forms on Earth.
The series emerges from inner reflection and experiences gathered through travel and encounters with distant landscapes. Like the stones she has always collected—fragments of the Earth’s crust—she believes that even inanimate matter holds narratives of transformation, movement, and ancient time.
In this body of work, two pictorial languages coexist. At the center of the canvas, a free and gestural approach allows color to flow intuitively, embracing chance and emergence. This contrasts with the surrounding structure of precise geometric circles, a reference to the early phase of her artistic research.
Through this dialogue between instinct and order, Earth’s Heart becomes a tribute to the Earth and to its continuous, living intelligence.
