Exploring Boundaries

Now that I am the mother of grown children, there are multitudes of boundaries that need to be re-examined. Where I used to tell my children what to do or at least have a great deal of influence on their day to day activities, I find that this is not my job anymore. They come to me for advice and conversation when they need it or want it, but my voluntary advice on random subjects is not really appreciated. I get it, but it is definitely an adjustment. I find that I am enjoying this new freedom to let them handle their own issues and love that they seem to be making good decisions without my help.
