Laura Guese is best known for her large-scale atmospheric paintings that reflect the emotional, therapeutic qualities of the sky. She has exhibited throughout the United States in solo and group exhibitions. Laura’s work can be found in public collections that include Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Colorado, Children’s Hospital in Aurora, Colorado, National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, Oakbend Medical Center in Richmond, Texas, Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Hilton Hotels.
Laura was awarded artist residencies with the Ucross Foundation of Clearmont, Wyoming, Jentel Artist Residency Program of Banner, Wyoming, and Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts in Saratoga, Wyoming. Most recently, Laura was awarded a residency with Centre d’art CAMAC in Marnay-sur-seine, France, with a grant from the Foundation Ténot.
She has spent time painting in France, the Lesser Antilles, Mexico, North Carolina and the western United States. She received a B.A. in Studio Art and a B.A. in French from Saint Mary’s College of California. Laura was born in Denver, Colorado, where she currently lives and works.
