Magnolia blossoms. Impossible, fierce and immediate.
Love, very much the same, balanced in the second between nothing and everything.

A shimmering weave of pinks and blues with magnolia blossoms on each end and a whole magnolia branch in the middle.
On the background, a restrained long gradation from dark red to light pink and back, with subtle undercurrent of blue in a constantly changing pattern.

Naturally dyed warp and weft, warp threaded in paralel, complex clasped weft with pattern change imagery, mixed fringes (braided, twisted and loose with knots).

Primary warp: Swiss mulberry silk, mulberry silk / rose viscose, mulberry singles, mulberry silk with small slubs, handspun mint viscose, a couple of threads of eri and bourette dyed naturally with cochineal, lac and a little bit of logwood.
Secondary warp: thick/thin Swiss silk singles dyed light blue with indigo.
Wefts: mulberry silk dyed to 10 shades with cochineal and lac, a little bit of naturally brown tussah silk.

Floor loom, 6 shafts, 8 treadles.
