This piece shows an unidentified man murdered during the Tulsa Massacre in 1921. This handmade quilt made with vintage fabric pieces was made by me to honor this victim of the Tulsa Massacre. His picture was taken by the Tulsa Archives and it shows he was shot pointblank directly through his heart. I used the conch shells on his body to show that when he passed over, he went straight back to the his African ancestors.
