Born November 17, 1957 in San Francisco, California, Victor lived in that city until 1972 when he and his family moved to Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico. He attended Jemez Valley High Scholl transferring to Albuquerque, Indian School where he graduated in 1976.
A six-time winner of the prestigious SWIA Annual Indian Market competition, Victor started sculpting in 1978. A self-taught artist, he began his full-time work as a sculpture a year later. His medium is Colorado alabaster's pink, white, and grey as well as Utah alabaster's red, green, yellow, grey, and brown.
"I try to use the idea of the shape of the stone itself and use my imagination to create what I see in the stone. I work at making traditional Indian Sculptures in all sizes ranging from 10 inches to 5 feet high."
