Made from the pages of Benjamin Franklin's "Autobiography," acrylic, ink and resin on aluminum panel.
Franklin's "Autobiography" is considered to have established the "self-improvement" genre of writing that educates readers on how to live a better life. Of his many daily practices reflected in the book (and this artwork!), the phrase "What good shall I do this day?" refers to a question he would ask himself each morning to set his intention for the day, essentially prompting him to focus on doing something positive and productive throughout the day.
I have always found this piece to be full of positive energy, an encouragement to arrange the bits and pieces of your life in a way that supports your dedication to the people and things you love.
