Statement
Through my art, I explore connections between the natural world and ancient feminine archetypes such as the Mother, the Mystic, and the Lover. Botanicals, vessels, ceremony, playfulness, and the unexpected are themes that emerge in this pursuit.
My experiences as a florist and potter have significantly influenced my creative process over the years, both in subject matter and technique. My work is often vibrant, intuitive, and dreamlike, bringing form to the essence I feel in the world around me, both seen and unseen.
As a curious experimenter, I am particularly drawn to materials and techniques that have an element of autonomy. Relinquishing some control of the outcome creates an experience of wonder and intimacy with my pieces.
My work tends to evoke curiosity and exploration in those who view it.
