This tree is outside the Art Gallery of New South Wales. It is enormous and gorgeous. One of the times I was observing it, two young men were climbing in it. The scale of the tree made them look rather like elves. This painting attempts to capture some of its grandeur and scale. In full leaf, the light hitting its giant limbs is dappled. The sky went red because it was next to the AGNSW. Sometimes in my artwork, these things just happen.
