While titled "The Ten Commandments," this sculpture by Kingsborough student Marty Resnik '71 was conceived as a secular, non-religious work, as evidenced by the label affixed to the back of the sculpture. Inspired by the iconic ending of the 1968 film Planet of the Apes, the work is itself sinking into the ground, a warning to future generations to improve society and the environment before it is too late.
