“I Can Work on Accepting Myself,” wrestles with how motherhood has physically and emotionally changed me and speaks to my current state--somewhere between the unrealistic desire to return to who I was before and a resistance to fully embracing the new.

The words, I can work on accepting myself, is hand stitched on the back. Repeating these words as I stitched them is just one step in my journey to self acceptance.
