I’m excited to share my newest painting, "Africa's Proud and Commanding Lion." This piece focuses closely on the lion’s face, capturing its intense, steady gaze and the grandeur of its mane. Working with oil and acrylic allowed me to bring out the richness of earthy tones—deep browns, muted greens, and subtle blues—that highlight the lion’s natural strength and regal presence. The gentle suggestion of grass at the bottom grounds the portrait in the wild without diverting attention from the lion’s commanding expression. This work was inspired by a powerful photograph taken in Africa by Scotty Lisenbe, and through this painting, I wanted to honor the dignity and resilience symbolized by the lion. I hope this image encourages you to connect with your own inner strength and face each challenge with pride and determination.
