Kim Denice Clark is an Abstract Realism painter whose work transforms personal struggle into vibrant expressions of beauty and hope. Based in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Kim draws inspiration from the emerald waters, white sands, lush gardens, and forests surrounding her home, as well as her travels across the U.S., Italy, Ireland, and London.
After a 13-year career in corporate finance, Kim made the courageous decision to leave two years shy of retirement to pursue a life of creativity and freedom. Art became her lifeline, helping her heal from anxiety and rediscover her confidence. She refined her skills at the Milan Art Institute in 2024, where she developed her signature style: bold underpaintings of charcoal, ink, spray paint, and acrylics layered with luminous oils.
Her paintings often feature fruit, flowers, animals, and women as recurring motifs, symbolizing resilience, transformation, and abundance. Each piece tells a story of exploration and discovery, echoing her tagline, “Discovery Through Every Brush Stroke.”
Kim’s work has been exhibited internationally, including in Venice, Italy, and throughout the U.S., with upcoming showcases at Red Dot Miami 2025. Through her art, Kim invites collectors to experience a journey of beauty, healing, and transformation.
Statement
I have lived near the beach most of my life. I'm currently residing in Santa Rosa Beach, FL and was raised in sun-kissed Oxnard, CA…just miles from the beach. My childhood was filled with family gatherings, beach trips, camping adventures, and outdoor play with friends. These experiences deeply influence my artistic journey.
My passion for art ignited in seventh grade when my teacher encouraged me to observe and feel the textures of nature, like maple tree bark and yellowed leaves. This connection to the organic world profoundly influenced me. In high school, I created a cherished charcoal still life, further cementing my love and dedication to art.
Despite initial self-doubt in college I persisted, immersing myself in lessons, reading, and practice. A significant milestone was painting and exhibiting my work in Venice, Murano, and Burano, Italy, with the New York-based Il Chiostro Art group, followed (years later) by graduating from the prestigious Milan Art Institute, FL.
I create bold abstract- realism paintings for collectors who want art that starts conversations. Also, I’m an artist advisor-helping others become master artists. Beyond painting, I’m a beach advocate and enjoy photography, exploring new destinations, searching for culinary experiences and beach outings—passions that seamlessly integrate with my art.
