This is the second is the "Red Line" series of acrylic paintings on a gallery wrapped canvas, with black-painted sides. It utilizes some of the same colors as the first - dark lilac, white, the red line (of course). The use of a gel medium and polycrylic protection sealer gives it a wet paint look and enhances the colors. I was inspired to create this painting on the heels of the first because I liked the colors and the texturing and color effects of using a brayer roller tool. I am pleased with the composition and color contrast. It feels like watching a summer sunset out in the country.
