The small red object in a gray-green abyss is seemingly scared stiff, unable to move, and staring at the open-mouthed viper-like creature in this snap-shot moment. The viper creature, as the anxiety-causer, is given more energy by the colors and motion of the blues and greens around it. It is a small but powerful piece.
