Statement
“EDEN’s work is structured upon the melding of abstract, surrealism, and figurative. She centers her work around the journey through trauma, healing, and growth, while having Black women, and children as the central focus. Her goal is to express her visual interpretation of life and to amplify the voices of the silenced. She seeks to tell stories and show that things aren’t always as we perceive them to be.
Her work touches upon subjects such as race, sexuality, mental health, human emotion, environmentalism, activism, spirituality, healing, and uplifting women (specifically black women) and children in society. She discusses topics that we would otherwise ignore daily basis but all essential parts of life’s journey. She creates what she feels. She creates stories. Both her own and those of others.”
