This painting shows Elijah when he had to flee to the wilderness. He had spoken out against King Ahab and was told to hide by God at the brook Cherith. Raven came and brought him bread and meat twice a day.
On the Corbett crest there is a raven. As a youth, Ken thought that was a silly thing to have on the crest. Once he understood this story, he realized a raven has great meaning, "God Doth Provide"
