Whitetail buck skull. I was inspired to make a piece that depicted one of my favorite symbols - and actually, the Minnesota State Bird - the Common Loon. For those who have heard it's haunting calls across the morning waters, especially up in the Boundary Waters, you will understand the place the loon holds in my heart. The blue waves up the side are meant to depict the waves of Lake Superior. This piece is an homage to my home state - Minnesota.
