I have long wanted to do a crocodile skull, but had a vision for it the other day. I ordered the nicest skull I could find - he's coming from Australia, so it will be a long journey. I'm going to use fossilized coral cabachons, and a river flowing theme, like the Eland I recently did. But in ocean colors. I may string my own beads for this one as well, depending upon the color combinations I can find.
I envision a beach towel pattern along one side, with sand and waves. Something akin to Minnesota Bound, but more ocean colors. I've ordered a set of dollhouse beach scene materials, that I am going to place in his open mouth. I'm going to patch over his lower jaw to make it look like a beach. I there will be lots of prep with this guy, because I have to Bondo over most of the surface to get it smoothed out for the beading.
I also am going to order eye balls from the taxidermist.
