Kayo Albert was born in Hyogo, Japan.
She came to New York to study painting in her 20's and actively creating and exhibiting her work in galleries in New York.
She is a member of artist community in Lower East Side called Con Artist Collective where she shares studio.
Her work is Abstract painting combined with drawing on surface called Mylar.
Her use of paint rich in fluidity creates translucent layers, gives depth and complexity.
Mylar also gives translucency,luminosity and airlines.
With strong interest in Carl Jung's psychology, she takes references from nature, memories perceived and stored in unconscious, extracted in altered form.
