On the surface "PLANTED" is a whimsical, lighthearted, mixed media piece with complex negative space painting. At a deeper level I had the concept that a season of time which may seem difficult, or where you feel stuck can actually be an opportunity for growth. Sometimes growing requires staying put... or sitting with our situation for awhile. It may not be comfortable, like a turtle on its back, but it can bring growth. There is a season for everything. It may be your time to be right side up and get a move on. To be a doer and a shaker. Or, it may be a time when you feel stuck, but it is a season for contemplation, recovery, reflection, and growth. Viewed as an opportunity we can be content with our circumstances.
